President Donald Trump is planning to open a hotel in Key West, Florida, to replace a historic colonial hotel.
The Trump International Golf Club at the Key West Resort and Spa will open to the public this week, Trump said in a tweet.
“Our staff and guests will enjoy a great new location in the heart of the beautiful Key West neighborhood,” Trump said.
The Trump International Resort and Palm Beach will be the fourth Trump golf course to open to public in the state since the President’s inauguration.
Trump has made the move to the Florida Keys a centerpiece of his effort to build a golf resort in the area, which he said he would “love to be back there.”
The first Trump golf resort opened in Florida in 2014 and opened in January 2019.
A group of Trump supporters protested outside the hotel on Wednesday.
